Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD):
I look forward to assisting you or your clients who have posttraumatic stress disorders resulting from motor vehicle or work-related accidents. If you are an accident victim seeking services, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you.
I successfully treated and testified on a case that involved the injuries of an infant in a Motor Vehicle Accident (MVA) for a prominent law firm. The accident also involved the mother, father, and adolescent boy who received treatment for their Posttraumatic Stress Disorder directly related to the MVA. In this case, individual as well as family therapy skills were utilized. Supportive psychological documentation was provided to assist with the settlement.
Another client treated for the same law firm was a pedestrian who upon exiting a nightclub was hit by an out-of-control SUV. This case involved individual psychological testing, psychotherapy, as well as marital treatment. Supportive psychological documentation was provided to illuminate the patient’s pain and suffering and to assist with a settlement.
Also of importance is treatment of a World Trade Center victim who had extensive burns all over her body. Initially, the case was taken as a public service, but the client pursued a Worker’s Compensation claim. This case involved coordination of medical treatment at the Cornell University burn unit and intense psychotherapy owing to injuries sustained in the September 11, 2001, attack on the World Trade Center.
Over the last 10 years, I have provided treatment for patients with PTSD for attorneys, M.D.s, and other professionals in the New York-Metro area. My office is wheelchair accessible. I can help you if you have soft tissue damage and need documentation of the impact of head and neck injuries on your life—i.e. the ability to sleep, eat, work, and relate to your significant others—needed for settlement or trial.
My specialization can help you in a number of ways, if you have Posttraumatic Stress Disorder:
1. My report accurately documents the direct psychological impact of the accident on the accident victim’s life. I will use psychological tests, treatment notes, and an extensive clinical interview that reflect pain and suffering caused by the MVA or work-related accident. Reports are professionally prepared.
2. My treatment notes demonstrate the results of treatment for the accident victims with PTSD—Posttraumatic Stress Disorder.
3. Compassionate, goal-directed therapy will assist the accident victims to move on with their lives.
4. Coordination with an M.D. psychiatrist colleague will provide supportive letters attesting to PTSD and the need for treatment. In addition, my colleague will provide medication on an as needed basis, which will be incorporated into the notes for the documentation of PTSD use for settlement or trial. He will follow up on an as needed basis.
In addition to accident injury patients, I am on many providers’ panels like Oxford Health Plan, Value Behavioral, Magellan Health Care, Empire BlueCross/BlueShield, Horizon Health Care, Etc., and can provide individual psychotherapy or couple counseling that is related/unrelated to PTSD.
